December 11, 2007 | Hot Hot Hot!
On the heels of yesterday’s conversation about buying a down or down-alternative comforter and then covering it, I thought I’d point out that today there’s a whole bunch of flannel duvet covers marked down to $9.99 at Amazon.
I looooove flannel for the winter. Of course, “winter” is a relative term. It hit 80 degrees here yesterday. What is wrong with this state? (”Come to Georgia for the peaches, stay for the global warming!”)

I need to find the area of the country where the summer high is 85 (warm enough for swimming) and the winter low is 45 (chilly enough for a sweater). And then the rest of the year it would be 65.

I do love you ever so much for finding these great flannel duvet covers, but I also want to cry at the same time. The comforter is GONE in king size. Wahhh! :’(
I should have just ordered the damn thing knowing that you’d come through with an awesome deal to go with it. Live and learn!

Mir,
Thank you so much for posting this. It is a great deal. I ordered a king sized duvet cover and the matching sheets - each just $9.99. Then I got sucked into the 4-3 promotion and found four great books for the kids. And got free shipping. Amazon is an evil, evil place. My credit card is smoking!!
Must stop looking at amazon…must stop reading wantnot….can’t!

[...] Oh, alright. Let’s talk about flannel, instead. I know we took a look at flannel duvet covers the other day, but I realized I hadn’t pointed out any coordinating flannel sheets. Me, I like sheets in solid colors (and then covers in patterns), possibly because I’m just weird that way, but also because sheets take more abuse and washing and I just think solids hold up better. If you want solid flannel sheets, check out these ones, because the reviews are—amazingly—excellent, and it just doesn’t get any cheaper than that. I mean, really. A king sheet set for $14.99? It brings a little tear to my eye. Posted by Mir @ 11:45 am [...]
