Even when it’s not free…our local-ish DD does 99-cent “Happy-hour” small lattes, teas etc., 2pm-10pm. Too bad they’re too isolated to have fresh donuts all the time.

My local McDonalds was stingy with the free chicken today. I buy a large iced tea there every day since they’ve been doing the large tea for a buck deal. Recently they changed it to any sized tea or soda for a buck, so really, it doesn’t matter what you buy drink-wise, it’s a buck. The chicken promo is “buy any medium or large drink, get free chicken” but when I went for my tea today, they said no free chicken if you order a large tea.
What’s that all about? Booooo, Micky D’s! If that’s their way of trying to compete with Chick-fil-a, I’m sticking with Chick-fil-a, who always has the absolute friendliest bunch of workers I’ve ever seen working a drive thru. Eat mor chikin, indeed.

might have to go to McD’s…there is NO DD’s here nearby, and I’d rather have a free iced coffee than a sandwich…but hey, free is free…
