Fly away, R/C-style

Remote-controlled flying aircraft are a popular hobby among young and old alike—or so I’m told. Me, I think my children are perfectly capable of putting out their own eyes without handing them an airplane to help them do it. (I swear this is 100% true: My son walked into a wall this morning. And that’s not unusual ’round here. But I digress.)

Anyway, perhaps your children or your spouse are not as dangerous as mine. (Ahem.) Perhaps your family has been looking to get started with remote-controlled flying. In that case, I have two suggestions for you! First, check out the Academy of Model Aeronautics to find a club near you, and second, enter this contest!

Today I have two model aircraft to give away. I have a red Air Hogs Havoc Heli and a yellow and purple Air Hogs Havoc Cyclone. Both of these come with a high-power LiPo battery and charger, are designed to work even indoors, and are intended for operators 8+. My husband is very, very sad that I am giving them away. But giving them away I am. (Also, I am apparently turning into Yoda. Sorry about that.)

Winners to be determined by random number generation and altitude. Or maybe attitude. I always confuse those. You don’t need to pick one; I’ll just throw ’em into two boxes and pull winners and you get what you get (and you’ll like it, too).
