Heads up — it’s time for an Allure box!

A couple of times a year, Allure offers a limited number of “beauty boxes” filled to the brim with expensive products at a deep discount. On the minus side, you may get some stuff you’re really not interested in having. But on the plus side, the products are full-sized and the box tends to be a tremendous value even if you won’t use it all. Plus: A portion of the proceeds are donated to a good cause.

Today (April 22nd, 2009) is Beauty Box day! Just go to Allure’s Beauty Box page to check out this year’s included products ($150 of products for $39.99), and beginning at noon Eastern time they’ll be open for orders. These do tend to go quickly, so plan to be there between noon and one if you’d like to order one.

$5 from every box sold goes directly to the Skin Cancer Foundation. What a lovely excuse to treat yourself to some fancy products!

    I just got this year’s, I bought last year’s and I was really happy with it, They have stuff you don’t normally buy and I liked them so much I still purchase now.

    Just ordered mine! I figured just with the stuff I’ll definitely use it’s worth over $40 to me, so yippee! Be sure to tell us next time you hear of the Allure Box!

    Unbelievable–I just ordered one 5 days later. Just *after* I had renewed my Allure subscription, unfortunately, but I’m glad they still had the boxes available!
