It’s got eating, and space pirates

My son is on a Pokemon kick right now, which means that when I saw the cover art on The Munchables for the Wii I kind of recoiled, like, “Oh no, another game with cute little creatures, I’m not sure I can take it.”

But then I was pleasantly surprised that this game is catchy, fun, and combines two of my favorite things—eating and space pirates. (What? Okay, I probably have a slight preference for eating. Still.) It’s rated E for Everyone, and indeed, it’s fun for the whole family. Chomp your way through and just see if the hours don’t melt away (and the kids don’t beg you for a turn).

    My son’s on a Pokemon kick, too. In the middle of a party yesterday, he opened up a container of white paint in order to make a PokeBall out of crumpled red paper napkins. I think I deserve to win something to make up for having to clean the white paint off the floor….
