Here’s a fun way to get some samples you can actually use: Go to Dermalogica and fill out your face profile. Along with the results (in my case: “You are experiencing acneic skin” to which I reply “Gee, really? What was your first clue? The big zit on my chin?”), you’ll then be offered samples of the products that match your skin type.

  1. Thanks, Mir! Neat.

  2. Acneic, here. Who would have known? Maybe it’s the hundreds of tiny little bumps all over my face that tipped them off.

  3. your chin zit is still around!?! you have to admire is staying power if nothing else.

can’t wait to see my new FREE products!

  4. Oooh la! I have an oily “t-zone” and the rest of my skin is sensitive & dry, especially my cheeks. What fun! :p
It looks like there are a ton of salons near me, I may have to get the full mapping…
    Thanks for sharing!

  5. I tried it. Got a result of “Your skin condition is not found, please see one of our specialists.” Great. So it IS Leprosy. :-/

Guess that’s what I get for trying to diagnose you with mono? 😉

  6. I finally found something that cleared up my acne which was still going strong into my late 40’s (wrinkles and zits — life is so not fair). Jojoba oil. It isn’t actually an oil — more of a liquid wax. It doesn’t make my oily skin worse, and a small amount applied morning and evening after washing my face keeps the zits away. The bottle at Trader Joes lasts well over a year, so we aren’t talking about an expensive treatment. And no skin damage!

  7. They didn’t offer me any free samples 🙁

  8. Ditto, Linda. I guess they’re out. ;-(

  9. Same here. Bummer.

  10. Nope, no free samples offered.
