This is a could-be-great, might-be-useless sort of deal. You just have to check out the details to see if it’s worth it for you.
Stacks and Stacks carries all sorts of things to help you organize your home. If I had an endless supply of money, I’d buy the place out. I pink puffy heart creative storage solutions. Ahem. Of course, it’s not always cost-effective to buy this stuff, but I do often go there and browse and drool.
Anyway, check it out: You can earn a free companion airline ticket when you spend $125 between now and January 15th, 2007. Go read the rules and restrictions, because there’s lots of fine print. But if you were thinking of buying something at Stacks and Stacks anyway, and the ticket might work for a trip you were already planning… it might be a nice freebie.
Not useless, but…the stuff is fairly expensive, even in their outlet. (If, unlike Nani, you have great self control and this is your first visit to the site, you get $5 off a purchase of $25, so that saves some.) I checked the fine print: To get the free* companion ticket, you must first purchase an airline ticket through LV, the company managing the offer. I entered our departure and arrival cities and got a $435 starting (!) price for the initial ticket, more than twice the price of the same ticket using Orbitz. You might do better depending on where you want to go. My decision: overpriced though cool storage solutions + high initial price for the airline ticket needed to get the free* companion ticket = no deal.
