Now you know, if you’ve been reading me for any time at all, that I generally skip deals which involve rebates. Some stores are notorious for offering them and not honoring them, and I just can’t be bothered to gamble with my hard-earned money.
However, this deal may be worth the trouble.

Heck, this is a pretty nice roaster for $30. But it’s a stupendous roaster for $10!
The image of the rebate says 15″ roaster. Does that still apply to the 19″ roaster? I bought it anyway because it is a good deal. Thanks!

BUMMER! I am so in need of one of these, and I squealed when I saw the post! But, it’s now $88.99, so a roaster stays on my wish list.
The $88.99 price is because it’s sold by Bargain Heaven. Amazon must have run out. Watch it over the next couple of days and see if Amazon gets more in.
My experience with rebates through Amazon is that they actually work – I got a check for $100 in the mail this week from when I bought a new laptop through them. And you can track the progress of their rebates through their site. But in most other cases I’d agree with wise and pretty Mir…I’ve been burned before on other rebate offers!
Let me just say thanks again. When it comes in the mail, I can tell my husband, but it went up to $88.99 right after I bought it! So I saved money! And you get to cook the turkey this year. My present to you. You’re welcome.
I ordered one of these too, when it was $29.99…I’d be interested to hear whether or not folks are able to get the rebate b/c, as Stephanie pointed out, the rebate is actually for a smaller roaster….Please post!
Just wanted to add, mine came in today, and although it says 19″ on the receipt, it’s the 15″ that arrived, and has the rebate sticker on it. It’s still an INCREDIBLE deal for $10 but just wanted to letchy’all know to expect the 15″ if you ordered it. 🙂
WOW! Just had to come back and say WOW ~ and THANKS, Mir! The (15″, which is plenty big) roaster arrived today and it is gorgeous. I’ve already sent in my rebate – hope Farberware doesn’t reject it based on the fact that the Amazon receipt says 19″. We’ll see. Either way, what a find.
I got hosed. I got one ordered while they were still $29.99 but just got an email from Amazon stating it won’t ship until the end of May. And? The rebate is only good if postmarked 15 days after purchase. Any ideas?
At about 3 a.m. (couldn’t sleep) I realized that Amazon doesn’t charge your account until they ship your order so my “purchase” date and the rebate deadline of 15 days post purchase will reconcile. Just thought I’d let you know.
Just to let you know, the price is still only 49.99 with a 20.00 rebate through Penney’s with a catalog number of HA7222 when asked.
