I swear to you, Girl Scout’s Honor (hey, stop snickering there in the back—I was too a Girl Scout!), that I had this marked on my calendar already, but now it’s going to look like I stole it from Melissa. I didn’t, but what can I say? Great minds think alike.
Tomorrow, March 15th, is Starbucks’ Second Annual Coffee Break. Pop into any Starbucks between 10 and noon and they’ll give you a free cup of coffee. I think they’ll even give you some attitude for free, too!
OH, boy! There’s a Starbucks that just opened a half mile from my school! Maybe I could take my class for a walking field trip and teach them about caffeine addiction.
I don’t know where most of you folks live, but here in our city of 8 million fine people, things like this tend to draw a crowd. Last summer, I passed a line of people — a full city block of them, patiently standing in the summer sun — waiting for a scoop of free Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.
And next week Dunkin Donuts will give away free iced coffee on Wednesday, March 21! Yum!
Mmm…maybe FREE COFFEE tastes the best, and here I am enjoying a nice cup of Starbucks! A treat for me. We have a brand new store in town, and I was pleasantly surprised to walk in, see NO line, march up to the counter, and innocently inquire about the free coffee today. Woohoo!
