I apologize for the lack of posts this morning. Guess which of the following things I have?

1) A foot of snow.
2) No power.
3) No internet.
4) Children home from school.
5) Did I mention no heat?
6) All of the above (pass the chocolate).

Ding! Ding! Ding! Very good. We are currently hanging out at Panera. Good times.

Anyway, you are probably not cold and slushy, and you probably want some deals. I’ll see what I can do.

Start with this: From now until its official release on April 17th, you can listen to Year Zero (the newest album from Nine Inch Nails) in its entirety right here. It may not be your kind of thing, but maybe it is. Or maybe you have teens who’d be into it. Or maybe it’s of absolutely no use to you at all and you wish I was still stuck at home, in which case I am lobbing a snowball at you right now.

  1. Wow! So sorry about all of that!!

  2. Oh. my. goodness. What a mess!

To look on the bright side of things, at least you and the kids can work on “the book”? And spend MUCHO *quality* time together. ::: beam :::

I hope your heat/power/internet/etc come back soon! And thanks for thinkin of us! 🙂

  3. I would never wish that of you… anything that keeps YOU from posting is bad. Very, very bad.

Oh, yeah, and the no-heat thing is kinda inconvenient, too.

  4. Ooh, bummer!

And I think I will take a listen, but not right now, as it’s too close to bedtime (oh, the incongruity of an over-40-mommy-to-a-toddler who secretly likes hard rockin’ music).

  5. Hey I’m also an over-40-mommy-to-a-toddler that likes NIN! I told the toddler’s stay home Daddy who has every NIN album ever made that if toddler starts learning the LYRICS to some of those songs there will be words…

  6. Boo snow! But yay NIN!
Have you been paying attention to the websites and all they’ve created to accompany the album? If not, check out ninwiki.com. Amazing stuff.
