This one is a long shot, but you never know.

Dash.net is looking for Beta testers for their new GPS system. They’ll be picking 2000 people from amongst those who apply, and those selected will get a free system in return for offering feedback as they use it.

In the “Optional: Tell us why we should select you as a Road Tester” box I confessed that I get lost all the time. That makes me ideal, right? Right?? Shut up.

  1. Wow, this would be great. I just moved to the Washington DC area…which is hideous for a new person to navigate with any sort of ease.

  2. I live with a map every where I go. I buy a map for the area we move to as soon as we get there…I look up maps in the phone books…I NEED to know where I’m going, lol!

  3. heh, me too. I actually avoid driving to places I don’t know because I’m so bad about getting lost. My kids are completely used to turning around at least once every time we have to go somewhere new.

This would be ideal for us!

  4. I’m sending this post to my husband… the Geek Who Must Have All Things Gadgety. He’s a hunk, though… what’s a girl to do?

  5. thanks ohhhh pretty mir—
Thank you for taking the time to fill out our survey. You’ll hear back from Dash no later than the end of May as to whether or not you’ve been selected for the road test. And, don’t worry, we will keep your information confidentia

  6. I was going to apply for my dad, as he goes on fishing trips in the wilderness where it’s easy to get lost, but I guess it really is a ROAD test, not a wilderness test. Bummer.
