Sometimes I post a great deal and I get comments or emails that basically say, “This is too good to be true, and I’m too suspicious to try it.” I think a certain amount of skepticism is healthy, so I’m okay with that. And anyone who’s been hanging around here for a while knows that sometimes a deal really is too good to be true, and orders are canceled or freebies don’t show up or whatever.
But I just wanted to take a moment to ask if anyone else jumped on the Chase Rewards deal I posted about last month. I got my card, charged a co-payment at the doctor’s office, and yesterday my bill arrived. When I went online to pay it I created an account and redeemed my 200 points for a $250 check. It worked like a charm.
In summary: I like free money.

My husband and I both signed up for this deal. He just got his card, I’m still waiting for mine. I almost fell over when he asked me what I was going to spend my $250 on. What? You mean I don’t have to turn it over to the “household”?
It just means he has something decadent he wants to spend *his* money on 🙂
Unfortunately, I already had a chase account, so I won’t get the $$$. But, I’ll be using my 3% cash back on groceries from now on. 🙂

At the time that this was first posted and you all applied, did the link mention the $250? It doesn’t say anything when I click on it now. I didn’t think I needed a new card at the time, but a little extra cash is sounding pretty good.
I think it was just a promotional event and only lasted a limited amount of time. The web site did mention the $$$ when I applied, so I’m pretty sure this was the case. 🙁
I got my Chase card and have used it once… I am now waiting for my bill so I can collect my $250… glad to know it worked! 🙂

Git it, used it, waiting for my refund. I tell you what, that was the most refreshing grande non-fat hazelnut mocha (with whip) that I ever charged!
I didn’t apply initially because it seemed like there were strings attached in the fine print, but now that I know there aren’t maybe I will apply!
quick update… got the bill yesterday and have requested my $250 check, sweet.
I so signed up and just got my statement with the $200 in rewards on it! So excited! Now I will follow the others and redeem for $250! Then do I save or go to Target!!!
