This week’s Friday Sale at Amazon is quite timely for two reasons. First of all, it’s Friday (duh). Second of all, yesterday we signed our lives away on a new house, and those of you playing along at home may be aware that—due to our incredible luck and also a lousy housing market right now—this means we now own three houses.
That means we’ll be eating a lot of Top Ramen for a while, and also that anything I need to buy must come at Friday Sale prices or better. So.
I suppose that means I can’t currently justify this Dyson, huh? Hmph.
(Psssst! The dearth of posting is almost over. Cable gets hooked up at the new place on Monday, which means we should be back to our regularly scheduled bargain-hunting full-force by then. Thanks for bearing with me through the move.)
Personally, I love that under the section titled “Customers who bought this also bought..”, they list the Spare Lifetime Filter. Ummm… if it’s “lifetime”, why would you need a spare?
Mir, did you see the Veggie Booty recall for salmonella?

One of my dearest pipe dreams is that one day, if I left them alone and maybe lit a few scented candles and put on some Marvin Gaye, my yellow Dyson would mate with my mom’s red Roomba and produce a super-powerful robot vacuum love child. It would be orange, and I’d name it William, and the world would beat a path to my door.
Super vacuum love child? Now there’s a bargain.
Considering how indecently I love my Dyson I’d buy a William in a heartbeat. Call me when he’s born…
How is the Dyson for doing stairs? Or is tehre a good thing for stairs that can handle picking up long hair? Our thing currently gets stuck on hair and I literally have to take the bottom off which means taking out three TINY screws just to unravel hair!!! I don’t comb my hair anywhere but the bathroon, but for some reason, the stairs ALWAYS have hair!
super robot love child and hairy stairs. see what happens when you leave us for too long, Mir?
LOL @ Stephanie Chance… you are hilarious!
I am impressed with how you have been keeping up with all of this while moving! This is such a great site, thanks 🙂
You can buy a nifty little CHEAP device on the roomba site that you run along the brush and it scoops and cuts the hair off for you
I second Christina. You have been keeping up with everything beautifully. I haven’t suffered too much withdrawal! Heck, take a day off, why don’t ya! But don’t be surprised if you come back to super hairy robot vacuums whose spawn are taking over the website. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
