Some people think tomorrow (Friday the 13th) is an unlucky day. But not me! I love Friday the 13th. And I love Friday, July 13th especially, because it’s Cow Appreciation Day.
Wear any sort of “cow accessory” and get a free entree at Chick-fil-A. Wear a whole cow outfit and get an entire meal for free. It’s silly, it’s weird, and it’s free food.
Last year I dressed the kids up and they got free meals. They had a blast and the three of us ate lunch that day for the cost of my soda.
I’m letting you know the day before so that you have time to go get your cow garb on. You know you want to.
I didn’t even know there was Chick-Fil-A in New England! The only ones I’ve seen have been in Florida.
Now only if I’d known about this back when Halloween costumes were on sale…
Wow… that would be an awesome way to celebrate my birthday… too bad we dont live near a chick-fil-a! Darn, now I will have to settle for dinner in regular clothes!
Do you think it counts if I wear black and white and say “Moos”
Once, in my college theater days, I made a cow costume for a friend that had working udders, made with those fake lemons, which I washed out, filled with actual milk, and concealed within the teats. I didn’t wash the lemons out well enough, alas, and when the milk was squirted it was distinctly soured and stinky. Don’t ask me why I decided that the cow had to squirt real milk. But I still maintain that the concept of a functional, milkable cow costume was an inspired one. Totally deserving of a free meal, at least.
