This is how Amazon keeps people shopping

(Wooooo! Power go boom at my house this morning! Will get this up in bits and pieces as I steal wifi from my local coffee joint….)

As if there weren’t enough toy deals over the last few days, not it’s on to the Amazon Friday Sale for everything else.

I’m not sure what the big deal is about these Eton radios, but $100 (the price on the blue one, there) is the lowest I’ve ever seen for ’em.

Mmmm… cashmere!

Need a booster seat? The Britax Parkway is marked down to $69.99 with free shipping, and I’m pretty sure this is a sign of the apocalypse, because Britax never goes on sale.

The Apollo GoLite is marked way down again; if you’ve been trying to decide whether or not to get one, now is the time (and if you bought one before at a higher price, go get your price adjustment). If you have SAD I highly recommend this as the most portable and least annoying full-spectrum light therapy device out there.

I love this bamboo cutting board set; at that price, it’s a bargain even if the knives are useless (though the reviews are very favorable all around). (This would make a great wedding gift, by the way.)

Here’s yet another cheap and easy Christmas gift; fill it with cookies and you look like a hero. (“Oh, no, please just keep the dish. It was nothing.”)

Does anyone have one of these casterwing scooters? I’m intrigued. I sort of want one for me. Is that wrong?

Whaddaya get when you cross the Grateful Dead with the Boy Scouts? A tie-dye jacknife, of course.

Next to LL Bean packs, I love Jansport backpacks the best. Various colors on sale.

Alright, that should keep you busy until the power company fixes me up. And don’t forget to check the toys, too—still great deals going on there.

  1. The Winter Dreams platter and bowl are gorgeous. They look much more expensive than they are. One of mine was broken in transit, and Amazon, amazing as they are, sent a replacement by overnight mail, no questions asked.

Thanks, Mir, for the wonderful deals!! I never would have found it without you.

  2. I just scored a London Fog wool coat for my hubby! Normally $350, now $89.99. I got single breasted, but double is available too for the same price.

Just had to share the love.

  3. We had great luck with our jansport backpack. My son is really rough on his; the Braille books are big and heavy. He broke a strap on it, and they repaired it free. I might even get him another, bigger one, now that he has to carry around huge high school books that are even bigger in Braille than in print.

  4. Hi there –

That bamboo cutting board you mentioned is down from $29.99 to $19.99. Woohoo!
