The ever-lovely Tori just let me know that Oprah had Suze Orman on today, and part of their deal (aside from sitting around arguing about who’s richer, I assume) is that you can go download Women & Money, Orman’s latest book, from Oprah’s site for free through 8:00 p.m. tomorrow night (February 14th, 2008).
I’m not commenting here on what I think of Suze Orman; but I will say that regardless of my opinion (or yours), getting the entire book for free probably merits a look. Thanks, Tori!
Wow! Great! I was thinking of buying this. Now I don’t have to.
1) AWESOME, thank you!
2) I would loooove to hear your thoughts on Orman, I am sort of undecided about her myself, since I’ve only read one of her books and caught her talk show a couple of times.
Thanks Tori and Mir! While Suze sometimes rubs me the wrong way, I do think she generally gives good financial advice to people who have dug themselves HUGE financial holes. One of the Oprah episodes I saw her on she gave the husband the third degree that he was responsible for the families financial situation, too, because he’d basically been ignoring it and leaving everything up to his wife. He kept blaming her, but Suze gave it to him and she was right on.
I have some big Suze Orman fans in my office. This was fun to share with them! Thanks for the heads up.
I, too, would love to hear what you think of Suze Orman. I disagree with her on some things that I have seen, but over all she seems okay. If you have a differing opinion (or the same as mine!) I’d love to hear why.
That’s really funny because I said that her voice (and sometimes her bossiness) make my skin crawl. Regardless, it’s a free book. Free is one of my favorite things for sure!
