Even more cheap books

I’m starting to think this should have its own category. I could call it “I was surfing Amazon while I was supposed to be working and I found you these cheap books that would be great for party favors or whatever.” Too long? Maybe just a little…?

Okay, all of the following are eligible for the 4-for-3 promotion, which means even greater savings when you’re stocking up:

Egyptology Code-Writing Kit for $5.99 (40% off) (another -ologies book)
Mini Butterfly Tattoos or Snakes Tattoos for $.90 (40% off) (these are a huge crowd-pleaser, and great for filler items in orders that are close to being eligible for free shipping!)
The Latke Who Couldn’t Stop Screaming: A Christmas Story for $2.03 (80% off) (this is a Lemony Snicket book with great reviews)
Littlest Pet Shop Trading Cards: Volume One for $1.43 (80% off) (words cannot describe how much I dislike Littlest Pet Shop, but my children love them and love cards; this would be an awesome party favor)
Dream Bedroom: Use Recycled Materials to Make Cool Crafts for $3.89 (51% off) (great choice for your favorite ecokid)

I’ll come back and add some more if I find ’em. That should be enough to get you started wondering if I ever get anything done all day.

  1. You could call it Readaholics Anonymous… the category for people who can’t control their reading, to the point that it interferes with their lives.

  2. If it makes you feel better, or less like you were wasting time, I love when you share these finds with us. I got two of the pop-up castle books and love them! These things make great additions to the gift closet. And I’m definately getting those tattoos for my daughter’s class treasure box. Thanks!

  3. Got the tattoos for party favors. Great!

  4. Readers may want to consider selecting a few books from Amazon.com to donate to http://deweydonationsystem.org/
to help stock libraries for children in either Los Angeles or Jamaica (depending on what you pick). Several people have used the 4 for 3 promotions and other amazon savings to donate even more than they would normally be able to.

  5. I would have trouble explaining why I basically buy one each of every cheap book you mention.

Except when I buy FOUR each, as I did with the trading cards. But only one each of the code book and the Lemony Snicket book. I was going to get the tattoos, but they were already back up again.

  6. Wow, it’s like amazon sees a jump in the ordering of an item and decides to increase the price. Glad I got those tattoos at 90 cents.
