Oversize books, undersize price

Need a baby shower gift that’ll make a big splash, or a classroom gift for a preschool or kindergarten teacher you adore?

I’ve got you covered.

Amazon has the oversize gift editions of The Little Engine That Could and The Ugly Duckling marked down to $17 apiece. These are gigantic hardcover books with gorgeous illustrations—take a look at the customer images to see just how big they are.

I wouldn’t give one to the mom-to-be who lives in a New York City studio, but for someone who has the space for it, this is a unique and striking gift.

Because what kid doesn’t love a big as big as he is?

  1. My little guy was given The Little Engine That Could for a gift and he absouletly loves the story..he is a huge train lover!! I think we read it at least twice a week…and trust me we have tons of books!! I can only imagine how cool he would think a BIG book version of it would be!!

  2. I have also seen BIG versions of Corduroy and other classics marked way down at Borders stores.

  3. I can’t believe those are normally $85. This is quite the deal, thank you!

  4. Big is great! In a classroom, kids can share a Big Book and read it together. Teachers love them.
