So, I just got this email alert that for three days only, from today until June 4th, 2008, all orders placed at Omaha Steaks will be shipped for free as part of their Father’s Day promotion.
Unfortunately, I can’t see anything to that effect posted on their site, and I am too lazy to go all the way through the checkout process to make sure that it’s true. But probably it is, and shipping is free, even if you’re buying one of their clearance items.
What I can tell you for sure is that Omaha Steaks packs their stuff with dry ice, and the children will find the dry ice a lot more entertaining than the steaks. Trust me. (Also, remember that dry ice can burn you. Don’t touch it! But feel free to put on gloves and put some in a pot with some water to make your own bubbling mist. The kids enjoy that.)
oooh, put some of that dry ice in a bowl of water with some dish soap mixed in and you’ll get the coolest bubbling ever. Food cloring mixed in also looks cool but gets messy.
I don’t think this special exists. Just tried it and it doesn’t work. I noticed on the home page some fine print confirming that standard shipping rates apply, so you’re looking at about $16 for a small order.
