Keep your GPS in arm’s reach

I love my GPS unit. (You already know that; I talk about it constantly, right?) But here’s the thing—I’m not particularly tall, and my car’s windshield is faaaaar away from where I sit. (Don’t ask; I inherited the car.) The result is that when I put Audrey (yes, that’s her name) on her little suction cup bracket, affixed to the windshield, I can barely reach the touch screen.

Now take a look at this: The Bracketron Nav-Mat sits on your dashboard and holds your GPS unit securely, closer to you. At less than $12 I’m thinking that’s a pretty cheap solution to needing to pull over and unbuckle my seatbelt every time I need to touch the screen!

  1. Thanks! I just bought this at Best Buy for $41 for my dad for Father’s Day. I know he didn’t open yet so I ordered this one and am taking the Best Buy one back.

  2. We had a car like that several years ago…not inherited, but sold to us at a ‘family friend’ discount…we nicknamed her the Queen Mary and would often shout, “Coming about to port!” while giggling madly when we had to make a sharp turn…say in a drive thru. I have no idea if that is a real sailing/boating phrase.

I could never get over the feeling that I was driving my parents’ car.
