Let’s try again — ready, set, Wii Fit

This didn’t work out so well the last time I did it, but let’s see how many we can snag, this time!

Amazon claims that at 10:30 Pacific (1:30 Eastern) Wii Fits are going to be available. That’s about five minutes from now, so you have time to go turn on your one-click ordering.

You need to sit there and refresh and pray if you hope to get one. Just sayin’.

[Edited to add: Okay, I am starting to think this is just a very elaborate joke of Amazon’s. The item shows up, but cannot be added to my basket, and after I retry a hundred times it disappears again. Anyone get one?]

  1. Thanks so much for the tip. My sister is going to LOVE ME this Christmas! This site is the best thing on the web 🙂

  2. They have had tons of these at my locals Targets. Not sure why they are so had to get on Amazon.

  3. In case you couldn’t tell from the exuberance in my last message —- I GOT ONE! (if this helps you any for next time, according to my computer clock, it wasn’t quite 12:30 central time yet when it appeared — it was about 30 seconds early)

  4. You’re in rural-ish Georgia, go to the local WalMart in one of the smaller towns, and I’ll bet there will be a pile of them in a dusty corner. There were 15 on the shelf when I got mine, the day it launched, and no one asking for them. Online it’s a bloodbath to scrounge one up.

  5. I’m 33 minutes late to the launch and it looks like they are gone. I haven’t looked at all locally though, so maybe they are in a dusty corner somewhere like Ani said.

  6. I got both the Wii system and (just yesterday) the Wii Fit from my local Blockbuster store (in Chicago, but probably everywhere else too). I was surprised to see them in stock there, but maybe you’ll find one there, too. It’s totally fun and I can’t stop playing. And getting some exercise to boot!

  7. I found one at a local Target a month or so ago. I’m in Oregon. I’ve seen them in and out of stock at Target and Wal-mart here. Can’t seem to locate them anywhere else.

  8. I’ve seen them on craigslist too in my area.

  9. We walked into the local KMart (on the outskirts of Hell-anta) 59.99 with a shelf full left.
Every K mart I’ve been in has them. Did everyone forget poor K Mart exists?

  10. I already have the Wii and WiiFit, but I just had to say that I used to work at Kmart…. for 7 years…. some of the best and worst years of my life! It’s pretty hard to find a Kmart nowadays….

  11. It turns out my husband snagged one of these for me for my birthday. He said he signed up for an SMS alert from Amazon, and when it came in he just replied with “Buy Wii Fit” or something to grab one right when they became available. Maybe that’s why it seems near impossible to get one the old-fashioned way of ordering online from the product page.
