It’s starting!

If you shopped Amazon last year around this time, you may remember that in December the crazy toy deals began. And sure enough, the prices are starting to fall. Which means I’m burning the midnight oil.

A few goodies, categorized for you:

Games:
The Dangerous Book for Boys Game for $10.99 (45% off, though everywhere else is selling it for $25)
Diamond Anniversary Scrabble for $14.99 (57% off)

Robots!:
I-Sobot Robot for $59.99 (67% off)
Star Wars Interactive R2D2 Astromech Droid Robot for $69.99 (59% off)
WowWee Talking Tribot for $59.99 (40% off)

Remote control:
Assorted Air Hogs are marked way down
Street Troopers Mobilized Attack Vehicle for $17.99 (70% off)

For girls:
Melissa and Doug Multilevel Wooden Dollhouse for $59.99 (63% off)
Littlest Pet Shop Digital Organizer for $17.99 (49% off)
Gourmet Cupcake Maker for $16.99 (43% off)

File under just plain cool:
Snap Circuits Pro SC-500 is currently $19.89 + shipping from a 3rd party supplier, but the regular price is around $70—still a huge bargain even with shipping. My son got Snap Circuits last year for Christmas and they were hands-down his favorite gift.

  1. The thing about Amazon is it can be one price 10 minutes ago, and another now. I see the Snap Circuits for $66. Boo. I have a nephew or two to buy for and I was all excited. I’ll keep watching and see if it changes!

  2. Oh cool! I almost bought an Air Hog heli today for $32 at TRU…. $9.99 is so much better!

  3. Mir, you are so pretty! I just found the toy that my daughter wants (Disney Princess Magic Wand Horse) for $9 less than Target. The same toy which was on sale at Target before Thanksgiving for the same price as Amazon has now. And I wouldn’t have thought to check if I hadn’t seen your post. Thank you a million times!

  4. I’m holding out for a Nintendo DS. Do you think there is hope for me??
    k

  5. Thanks! I was thinking of getting my husband an RC copter, but with our spending limits this year, wasn’t sure I could do that and something “useful” – the Airhogs mini havoc solved my problems! You’re awesome 🙂

  6. Kailani,

The best I could do on a new DS was an offer at FYE (For Your Entertainment). If you have one near you, they were offering the DS for 149.99 with a $40 rebate. They weren’t any cheaper ANYWHERE in ANY bundle, so far. Sadly, I don’t think there is much hope for a “hail mary” price reduction on this one, but what do I know…

  7. Oops, I think that was a $50 rebate they were offering at FYE, Kailani.

  8. We’d been thinking about a dollhouse for our daughter’s big Christmas present… and at that price I couldn’t resist! I love the Melissa & Doug stuff, and I know Camilla is going to love her new dollhouse, so thanks!

  9. I experienced the magic of Amazon price reductions last night. I got Cranium Hullabaloo for $10.99 – it had been $13 but the price fell even more, that’s compared to $24.99 most other places. Love it!

  10. FYI if you put something in your cart at Amazon and don’t buy it, when you get back on again it will give you a highlighted message if the price has gone down.

Amazon no longer does price adjustments if an item becomes cheaper:(

Hannah Montana plug and play guitar (kind of a cheap guitar hero ) was $60 , on sale for $40 black Friday at Target, is now $18.99 on Amazon

  11. I just bought the Dangerous Book for Boys game yesterday for $14.99 at Amazon because I couldn’t justify the $20+ price I’ve seen in the stores. Oh well! Thanks for keeping us up-to-date with great buys!

  12. SCRABBLE! SCRABBLE! I luuuurve Scrabble! (falls into a dramatic heap beside the computer)

  13. I ordered that Scrabble and a few hours later it dropped to $13.99. So I called up India and asked if they would correct the price. Nope. I don’t even really consider that a price match, but they do. So I canceled that order and re-ordered. And added in the Rubik’s thingie.

  14. And the DBFB Game just went down.
