In case you need one more thing

I know it’s almost impossible to believe that Amazon wouldn’t have that last gift you need (heh), but on the off chance that they don’t—or that the price is not to your liking—consider checking out the holiday gift guide at Barnes and Noble. Here, let me make it worth your while: Through December 18th, 2008, use coupon code P7P7Y9N to take 25% off one item.

It applies to the most expensive item in your order, and doesn’t work on video games or memberships, but works on just about everything else. They have DVD sets and games and all sorts of things, and 25% off could really add up fast on a more expensive purchase.

Plus, it’s a bookstore, so you’ll feel all virtuous and stuff.

  1. I love B&N, their membership is totally worth it with the discount on everything you buy and then the free shipping (that they even honor to Hawaii). The books are usually cheaper than Amazon too!

  2. And B&N does Upromise points, which add up quickly for me at a bookstore!

  3. Hmmm…this is an interesting topic. I have always faithfully used Amazon. Dearest Mir and all the “experts”…tell us more about the benefits of B&N. Expand my horizons!

  4. Tina,

B&N has coupons, faster free shipping (oh, same-day delivery in Manhattan, how I love you), a nifty membership program, and in-store returns. That said, Amazon is frequently (usually?) cheaper. It just pays to compare.
