When I was a kid, Gund’s ad campaign was “Gotta Getta Gund.” Anyone else remember that? Even well into my teenage years, those soft, fluffy Gund stuffed animals were still considered a status symbol in your room. As a teen, you had them for “display,” of course, but the reality was that we all still slept with stuffed animals and hoped that no one knew.

I still have three Gunds…big dog, small bear(named Golly Golly) and small white bear. My husband gave me two and my boss gave me another. They were all Christmas gifts. They still sit in prominent places in my home…when my sons weren’t trying to kill them with their toy swords!
