What? No, no I’m not crying, I just have something in my eye. Stop looking at me.
And by the way, my Amazon Prime trial is drawing to a close. After Thursday it’ll be a distant memory. And of course today is the very last day to order with an upgrade to one-day shipping (just $3.99 an item, if you have Prime) and still receive it in time for Christmas.
It looks like the Lightning Deals today are going to include a few toys, so I may just have to keep an eye on those. I mean, if my eyes would just stop watering.
Allergies. I have allergies.
Amazon’s shipping is so weird, though. That leapfrog globe I ordered YESTERDAY? I used super-saver shipping, and yet I’m getting it today.
(Of course, I’d still rather have Amazon prime and have guaranteed fast shipping…)
I canceled it last night – by sending them an email. It was too painful, I had to just get it over with. But at least the UPS guy will stop teasing me about deserving a certificate for supporting the economy because he stops at my house EVERY SINGLE DAY.
I’m right there with you, Mir. *sigh* Thank you again for telling us about the Prime trial. It rocked!
I’ll be canceling mine tonight when I get home 🙁 It was fun while it lasted!
I feel your pain. And mine. Free Amazon Prime. I love it so much.
You know, you buy a lot of stuff for your business at Amazon, Mir. Sounds like a business expense to me. I’m just sayin’.
I’m renewing Prime! My little sister swears by it. She has three kids under 6 and loves it. She even uses it for things like diapers and groceries. Our family is spread out all over the country and I send tons of presents from Amazon. So I’ll try it for a year and see if it’s worth it.
Pretty, lovely Mir – my $20 Dale & Thomas gift code is still burning a hole in my inbox . . . I’m tempted to just find the cheapest thing I can on their site ($29.95?) pay the 9.95 shipping and just be done with it. Is there anything you can do for me between now and Dec 31 when it expires? I know you work miracles, but this one might be a bit much to ask for . . .
Yes, I too bid farewell to Prime this week and today as I’m looking at some fabulousness on Amazon, I’m sooo sad that I can’t pop a $7.96 item into my cart and know that shipping would be free. Alas…I asked our UPS guy this week if he just wanted to move in. I should have told him Christmas Eve Day – the day of his last delivery – that the magic was ending – however, I just couldn’t do it as that would have been saying it out loud… Sigh
