Will 15% make it all better?

Once upon a time, TJ Maxx had a big data breech and a lot of people’s credit card information went places it wasn’t supposed to. Oops! This was bad, but not bad enough to cause me to stop shopping there, because I love me some TJ Maxx.

Following a class action settlement, TJ Maxx is offering 15% off everything today (January 22nd, 2009) at their family of stores. This includes TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Marshalls, etc.

I doubt 15% off will be of much comfort to people who had their credit card numbers leaked, but it’s sure nice for the rest of us….

  1. Hmm. I don’t know that it’s a deep enough discount, but I’ve never been to their website. Thanks!

  2. They don’t sell online, Anna. This is an in-store only promotion.

I know 15% isn’t a lot… but given that they never have coupons, if you enjoy shopping there, it’s a little added incentive. 🙂

  3. Yeah, it didn’t take me long to figure that out. bah. I’m in that awkward stage between real clothes and maternity, so it’s even more imperative I shop in my pj’s!

  4. it’s not worth it to me considering I will no longer shop there w/ a credit card-we were part of the breach. Luckily we hadn’t had any info stolen but it was enough to keep me out of the store.

  5. I discovered this by accident today when I went looking for a new purse over there today–sure came in handy! I did wonder about the big sign out front that was like “15% off your entire purchase–we’ve never done this before and we’ll never do it again!” But boo to bad security, the reason for the whole thing.

  6. Dang! That is what I get for not reading my blogs yesterday!!!! I have spent a lot there the last few weeks!
    Between auction baskets and decorating!
