(Sorry for the delay today, folks. We lost power for a few hours. Doesn’t the power company know I have contests to post?? Sheesh!)

I mentioned earlier today that I’m not so much with the coordination; sadly, my children have inherited my clumsiness. This, of course, only deepens my love for the Wii, because it provides a way for the kids to do sports without hurting themselves or others. (What?) Take, for example, the bowling—no bowling balls on the toes! Or tennis—no indignant crying about being hit with the ball! It’s a thing of beauty.

They can even play baseball and I don’t need any sunscreen or band-aids. Awesome.

We used to be an exclusively baseball family with our boys. Now it’s soccer. But I still love the game. It would be much better than sitting for hours yelling at the umps…um, boys.

You know, my FIL can’t play the baseball game on Wii Play. He ‘sets’ the ball, which the computer takes as a throw. And the silly man won’t try to work around it.

My son used to play Backyard Baseball for hours on the computer. It was hilarious because he would hear the names of the players and think they sounded cool and named his stuffed animals Ackmed and Ingrid. It’s a great game for diversity, too.

The Easter Bunny brought my family a Wii. Yesterday they clocked about six hours of skiing and bowling (not to mention tightrope walking). It is indeed a thing a beauty for the first day of Spring Break. I’m sure they would love backyard baseball, too.

After this week, normal time-limit rules will apply. But for now, I’m going to enjoy my coffee and blog reading in peace.

My son saw his first baseball game a week and a half ago, and it was love at first sight. The wii sports baseball is the only video game he’s played in his young life. This would be so much fun for the boy and his dad!
