Cheap magazines get cheaper

You probably already know that Amazon can be a great resource for cheap magazine subscriptions, but the deals just got better—now they have an entire section of magazines eligible for an additional 50% off with coupon code MAYMAG50.

So, for example, a year of Good Housekeeping was just about $8, before, and with the coupon, it’s under $4. You can give ’em as gifts, too.

Oh, man. I loved Seventeen when I was in junior high. Of course now I’m so old I have no idea if that’s a popular thing anymore. (What I remember most: Endless ads for Gund stuffed animals—Gotta Getta Gund!—and for Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific shampoo.)

  1. Well,it’s not on my reading list, but gotta love that Maxim shows up as the first entry…for $5 a year.

  2. I’m a sucker for Lucky (–a Sucky?) so I’m in for that and for Redbook. OH, and a bunch more books. You’re the devil, Mir!

  3. Hey Mir,

Do you know if you can get these magazine rates for a subscription renewal??

  4. OMG, this is awesome!!! I LOVE magazines and often buy them but have so few subscriptions. Now I can get most of my favorites here for next to nothing! THANK YOU!

  5. This Old House! In for two years for ten bucks. Fantastic.

  6. Awsome deal…I ordered Good Housekeeping for my mom. She’ll think I’m such a big spender:)

  7. Agh, I tossed in an entry on the dance-thingy contest before reading that it was for Wii. That’s what I get for rushing through my reading (I may as well – almost – be putting an entry on the reminder post)!

  8. I pick up Seventeen at the dentist’s office every now and again. Let’s just say that the ads for stuffed animals and shampoo have taken a backseat to…ummm…other things. 🙂

Thanks for the link about the magazines!

  9. Thank you! I have been meaning to renew several subscriptions, and the Amazon prices are WAY less than the offers I get in the mail as a current subscriber. Sports Illustrated is $100 dollars less if I go with Amazon over their official renewal offer. Incredible.
