One last Friday Sale before I go

We’re going camping this weekend. And yeah, I’m bringing my computer because that’s just how I am, but if I get eaten by a bear or something, this could be my last Amazon Friday Sale. I’m just sayin’. I hope it’s a good one!

Who’s a cute widdle pink camera? That’s right! You are! And I challenge you to find another Olympus camera of this quality for around $150. This one’s even waterproof to 10 feet. Pretty cool.

I don’t really know why anyone would need 120 shimmery pens, but with Subscribe & Save they’re just $10.62 shipped, so maybe for goodie bags? Or to give to teachers? Or if you have that freaking obsessive compulsive thing where you can’t stop writing? (Stop looking at me. I mean like, on the walls and stuff. I can stop any time I want to!)

“What’d you buy from Amazon today, honey?” “Oh, nothing much. Just some lightning nuggets.” (If you want a laugh, check out the “more buying choices” section on that one to see what a deal you’re getting.)

Frankly, I was a little disappointed in today’s sale, but then I checked out today’s Gold Box Deals. Everything bacon is on sale! Bacon salt! Baconnaise! Bacon (get this) lip balm! It’s bacony Nirvana, in every form you could possibly want. (Helpful nutritional note: Bacon salt is vegetarian, and a couple of the varieties are vegan, as well. But guess what they all contain! Wheat! That’s right. Sigh.) But assuming you have bacon-loving non-wheat-allergic folks in your life, I have two words for you: Stocking stuffers. Yes.

For some reason they’re doing a separate May White Sale rather than just making it part of the Friday Sale. I don’t know why. But that’s probably worth poking around if you need bedding and such.

And don’t forget that we’re in the final days of 50 MP3 album downloads for just $5 each; it ends at the end of the month. Get hopping if you haven’t, already.

Alright, darlings, I have to go finish packing up. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do, and if I don’t post tomorrow, I’ve probably been eaten by a bear. Or discovered there’s no wireless signal at our campground. Either way.

  1. 120 bic pens would make you a hit with the mom’s when you hand these out at Halloween instead of candy. Alas, my husband has informed me I’m not allowed to be “that mom” again this year. *sigh?*

  2. When I saw the bacon stuff I knew you’d be posting it! 🙂

  3. The bears only eat the people who smell like wheat…or bacon.

  4. Someone who bought the shimmer pens also got the “Furminator” de-shedder for cats. Couldn’t you flesh out an interesting character with just those two random purchases? I am forever entertained by Amazon. Thanks Mir! Happy camping!

  5. Alas, I got Bacon Salt for my impossible-to-shop-for-brother-in-law as a stocking stuffer, and I don’t think he’s even tried it. Urgh.

  6. Those pens are great – I just bought them! I’m an accountant and participate in a math and science conference every year for elementary school girls and like to hand out pens and pencils. Thanks!

  7. Okay, your bacon comment made me remember a story I saw on CNN or other national news the other day. I don’t remember where–maybe Seattle? Anyway, there is a region that sells bacon vodka! And they even make dessert drinks out of it, yuck! Apparently, it is such a big thing that several distilleries make it and more have applied to make it.

  8. First, thanks for the heads up on the camera deal. I have a dd turning 10 and going to her first camp and who wants to start scrapbooking. BINGO!

Next, I was thinking lightning shaped chicken nuggets…I must be hungry.

Third, I can’t wait to read your post tomorrow…no pressure!
