When my first child was born—a girl—I was determined not to give in to the miasma of pink girlishness that seemed to be the norm for little ones with two X chromosomes. I bought her trucks. I dressed her in overalls. And of course as soon as she could talk she let us know that her favorite color was pink and she was a princess.

(Nature vs. nurture is a losing battle sometimes, man.)

My daughter has long since outgrown many of the trappings of little girlhood, but even I sort of want this Little Tikes Classic Dollhouse that’s currently on special for $39.99. This is a four hour special, and it’ll only be available at this price for a couple more hours! Run if you want it!

    Argh, this is SOO frustrating! The link takes me to the $69.99 version. If I click on the “Clearance and Specials” link, I can see it at $39.99 below, but if I click “Add to Cart” or go for the details view it’s $69.99! If anyone has any tips on how to get it into the cart at $39.99 please share!
