Please take a few minutes today to honor all of those who have served our country, seriously. We shouldn’t need a designated day for it, but today of all days, please do give thanks.
Somewhat less-than-seriously: I got you a present—it’s a mono test! If there’s anything more entertaining than seeing your mortified middle schooler’s reaction to the doctor’s suggestion that maybe she’s been kissing boys, I don’t want to know what it is.
Oh, did you not want the mono test, or feel it wasn’t really appropriate for today? Okay, then. How about the Barnes and Noble Deal of the Day, instead? It’s the complete Tour of Duty series for just $55. (The same set is currently $95 at Amazon.) I guess that’s a little more holiday-appropriate.
But I’d probably still be careful about kissing boys, just to be on the safe side.
Thank you Mir! My husband is in the Air Force and was away serving in Qatar last Thanksgiving, Christmas, our sons 1st birthday and my birthday (for the third year in a row). And we’ve had it much easier than many others in the service. It’s really nice to know that our sacrifices are appreciated.
We are so thankful to those who are serving now and have served previously.
