I did notice they seem to have lowered the cap—you only get the additional bonus on the first $200 worth of eligible purchases (which for me is maybe a trip and a half to the grocery store)—but free money is free money. Don’t miss out just because you forgot to sign up.

Seriously, I can spend $200 in one trip easy. But hey, every little bit helps!
I figure Discover Card must have lost a lot of money with the 5% back on groceries last fall, because it used to be all fall and now it’s just one month, and capped. Fall 2010 is now just restaurants and fashion. It’s a shame.
