Just in case you didn’t happen to notice it during that football game last weekend, today Denny’s is offering free Grand Slam breakfasts until 2:00 p.m.
I will be here at my desk sipping coffee, both because pancakes are not part of my diet and because, um, we don’t have a Denny’s. But you go and enjoy. (Need help? Find your local Denny’s.)

We, alas, are snowed in for the umpty-umpth time in the last two weeks. A Denny’s breakfast is not on my lifestyle plan, either, but I’d do almost anything to get out of the house at this point.
Including carbo- and grease-loading.
It’s easier to cook my own than travel 35 minutes or so to the closest Denny’s. Except that I have no eggs right now. And the grocery store will be hell, because we’re (probably) getting snow tomorrow, OH MY GOD!! Why am I always out of everything and the shopping day I planned for over a week turns out to be the same day as the pre-storm-mad-scramble, oh why?
I’m with paige. I’d give anything to get out of the house right now!
My Denny’s is a bit too far to drive to then wait for an hour or more too. If the roads weren’t horrible from the snow I might consider the 30 minute drive to see how the wait is around 10am… but I don’t think I’d even get there right now!
It is funny to read all the posts about snow yet not know the geographic locations. We’re all in the same boat. Maryland is getting ready for another 10-20 inches this afternoon thru tomorrow. I could normally walk to a Denny’s but right now I can’t even walk around my house.
Well, it *is* the Snowpocalypse, after all. Or Snowmaggedon. Or Snow Hell.
I’m in southwest VA. My friends in southern MD are expecting up to 17 inches on top of the 28 inches they got over the weekend.
Fun times.
