For those of you who may have been on the fence about this deal on a Kotex starter kit I posted about a week ago, I wanted to let you know that we received ours (that was fast!) and it comes with a $1 off coupon, so for a net cost of $2 I think it was probably worth it. The little pouch is very cute.
And the booklet labeled “OMG… Your First Period” is a great conversation starter if you want your daughter to laugh hysterically while you try to be hip and talk in acronyms. (“OMG, I think, like, you’ve got some PMS. TTFN!”) (Okay, maybe it’s just us.)
I seriously do not remember menstruation being this amusing when I was a kid. Kids today, man. They’ve got it too easy.
My kit came the other day and it is very cute. I tried to talk with my 5th grader but she was too embarrassed, but I did find the pouch in her backpack this morning. I can’t believe my baby is growing up!
Yep, we received ours too. My daughter had a friend over and they looked at it together. She LOVES the pouch and wants to use it as a make up bag (not that she’s allowed to wear make up lol). Told her the kotex print on the inside was a dead giveaway that it was a “supply” bag. 🙂
You made me remember some educational film waaay back in junior high about the dangers of drugs, that started out with some guy coming out and saying he wanted to “rap” with us kids, and hoping he wasn’t going to say anything too “heavy” for us. We were hysterical!
My kit came on Tuesday, I didn’t even open it just put it away in the linen closet. The VERY NEXT DAY my 6th grader got her first period. Talk about timing!! Thanks Mir!
