Not exactly bargain-basement prices, sure, but a welcome discount if you’ve had your eye on one particular dream outfit, or something. The thing I like about Banana Republic—aside from the fact that their stuff is pretty, of course—is that their sizing was clearly determined by crack-addled space monkeys. I’m two sizes smaller there than I am anywhere else. (As I always say, at least expensive clothes make you feel skinny!)
That’s funny, I just had a discussion with my BIL the other day about clothes sizing. At one point he said, “There’s a size zero in juniors.” Which I countered with, “Oh, there’s a size double zero in juniors.” His conclusion on the topic was, “Since it’s all psychological anyways, why not just start with size negative 20? Then nobody will be bigger than a zero.” LOL 😀
Oddly, I am the same size at Banana Republic I am elsewhere. Go figure.
