Happy holiday weekend! Here’s to fireworks, good food, excellent company, and a celebration of not having funny accents. Or something.

My exciting plans for the day include grocery shopping and… um… yeah, that’s about it. But here’s some ideas if you’re in a bargain-hunting mood.

Weekend sales abound: It’s the Star-Spangled Sale at Old Navy, the 4th of July Monster Sale at Children’s Place (don’t forget code JULY4TH for 20% off your $50+ order), holiday savings for the weekend at Toys ‘R’ Us, extra Big Steals at Meijer (remember, those all ship for free), the holiday-themed one-day-but-really-all-weekend-sale at Macy’s, and the big 4th of July Event at Bare Necessities, just to name a few.

And if you have a teenage girl, you may or may not want to know that one of the weekend discounts at 6pm.com is slashed prices on a wide variety of Uggs. (I’m sorry. Or you’re welcome. Whichever you need.)

If you plan to celebrate the holiday by paper-crafting, don’t miss today’s Amazon Gold Box Deal—it’s a Cuttlebug embossing and die-cutting machine at a deep discount.

And now, I believe it’s my patriotic duty to see if I can figure out a gluten-free pie crust. For the country, you understand. Have a great weekend!

  1. Whole Foods sells gluten free pie crusts in the frozen section. Pretty yummy for GF.
