Saturday deals

Good morning! My husband kindly got up earlier than me today and tried to let me sleep in. Know what is not conducive to sleeping in? A 12-pound dog body-slamming your door with a nearly visible thought-bubble over her head that says, “I’m awake! What aren’t you? Do you need rescuing? I’m coming!” (Thank goodness I was able to get up and get to the laundry and such that much earlier. Ahem.) And how is your morning going…?

Let’s see what’s on tap this fine Saturday!

Have the candy, hold the artificial gunk—my favorite hard candy, Yummy Earth, is marked down at Amazon again. Get a 30-ounce container of lollipops for just under $9 shipped when you buy via Subscribe and Save. That’s 150 scrumptious pops for less than 6 cents apiece, with no artificial anything.

The Amazon Gold Box has a great deal today, too—it’s an Iomega 500GB portable drive for just $70.

It’s another great Christmas in July sale; this time it’s Little Tikes who’s bringing the savings, and if you have somewhere to hide a big box, this may be the cheapest way to get that plastic monstrosity your tot has been wanting. (Hey, I understand. I lived with a plastic kitchen in my kitchen for years.) Try code CCBD2010 for an extra 10% off, too.

And it wouldn’t be Saturday without Macy’s bringing another One Day Sale, though today’s has the added bonuses of an extra 25% off already-reduced Summer Clearance, and huge savings on home items.

Feel like eating out tonight? Hit Restaurant.com and you may be eating out tonight and traveling cheap later this year—through July 19th, use coupon code VACATION to save 60% on your certificate purchase and score an Orbitz bonus. So, your $25 dining certificate is going to cost you just a cool $4, plus you’ll get a code good for $50 off an Orbitz flight+hotel package! Restrictions do apply on how you can use the Orbitz code (must be booked by July 31st, must include a 4-night stay, etc.), but really, if you were looking to book some travel, this may be worth it just for the travel discount.

I’m off to clean something, I think. Don’t be jealous.
