Look like (you spent) a million bucks

Got a baby shower or two coming up? Check out this P’Kolino Puzzle Stacker at Amazon—it’s currently under $15 and eligible for Prime or Free Super Saver Shipping.

The regular price on many Amazon items is extremely inflated, but the listed regular price on this one ($38.50) is actually accurate. P’Kolino is known for quality wooden toys without any toxic paints or treatments, and just look at the craftsmanship on this thing. The only way you’re going to find something nicer is if you get one that’s handmade by some Amish guy in the woods, and I guarantee he’ll charge you three times as much for it. (No offense to the Amish. They are fine woodworkers, is all I meant.)

I have maybe had too much caffeine today. But this is a great deal.

  1. We got this one for our nephew last Christmas: http://www.etsy.com/transaction/27290628 . My father-in-law (who is an architect) was pretty enamored of the set himself, so (shhh! Don’t tell him!) we ordered him one this year for Christmas as a sort of jokey gift that he can put on his desk at work. It’s pretty simple, but it’s hand-crafted and the wood was just glowing and gorgeous when we opened the box.

I’m debating this one, though, simply because it has the colors. My brother-in-law and his wife are expecting another one near Christmas this year, so we got teething rings, but I’m debating getting this already for the 2011 Christmas season. (Is that too much planning ahead?)

  2. I don’t thing many Amish people are reading your blog. It’s not you, the are a difficult demographic…

  3. Price is back up:(

  4. I just received mine in the mail today. (Yea Prime!) My only regret is that I didn’t buy more of them! It is beautiful and solid. Thanks so much for the tip, Mir!
