In a house with a photographer, our stash of AA batteries runneth over. In fact, my kids don’t even bother asking me when they need batteries or can’t find their chargers, anymore. They just go straight to my husband.

But (you knew there was a but). I have one little clock that takes AAA batteries. And every time the batteries die, I vow to buy rechargeables for it, and then I see something shiny and forget, and eventually I buy regular batteries because I’m at the store and they’re right there. Lather, rinse, repeat. Whoops.

But not anymore! Because today I discovered that Amazon has a 4-pack of NiMH precharged AAA batteries currently available for $7.73. That’s not too exciting. But… a link urging me to check my coupons reveals (after refreshing the page a couple of times) that there’s a $2 coupon available, making my 4 rechargeable batteries cheaper that disposables.

Now if I can’t just remember to recharge them when they die….
