Amazon, diapers and you

This morning I got up to a very large cup of coffee, and email from a whole bunch of you about Amazon Mom. It’s sort of like Christmas!

Here’s the deal: Tell Amazon you’re a caretaker for a little kid, get 3 free months of Prime. But it gets even better, because for every $25+ order you place in the Baby store (diapers, anyone?), you’ll get another free month of Prime—up to an entire year for free. And if you’ve paid for Prime? You’ll get a pro-rated refund.

Even better, as an Amazon Mom you’ll always get 30% off diapers and wipes, rather than the regular 15% you normally get with Subscribe & Save.

Bear in mind that if you’d like to get the free Prime but aren’t going to be ordering from the Baby store (i.e., you’re a mom like me, who doesn’t have kids in diapers anymore), and therefore will only be qualifying for three months, that you will want to wait to sign up if you want your three months of Prime to cover you for the holidays. Personally, I’ll be waiting until next month. But if you’ll be placing diaper/wipes orders to extend your membership, have at it.

If that doesn’t excite you a little bit on a drab Wednesday morning, it’s like I hardly know you. (Now: who’s going to lend me their baby so I can get in on this…?)

  1. Great!! I love Amazon Prime, but I’m too cheap to pay for it LOL!! My son has no desire to use the potty, so the 30% off always comes in handy.

  2. I will wait until next month too Mir. I still have free prime from the last awesome diaper deal thru Oct. 8. Unfortunately, my kids are also not in diapers anymore, but at least one wets the bed every night! 🙁

  3. You are welcome to borrow my 2 1/2 year old who also has no interest in the potty. I just bought diapers… what are the chances you’ll post a reminder for this in a few more weeks? By the way, you are looking divine this morning!

  4. Just set a reminder to sign up next month. We’ve been diaper free for a few years, but those kind of savings… nope, we’re done. I value my full nights of sleep too much.

  5. If you would like to co-parent my 2 year old on say, Friday nights I’ll let you have the discount! Heck, I’ll even pay for the diapers and wipes! LOL

  6. Christmas without Prime just wouldn’t be Christmas.

  7. You can buy diapers for my kid anytime you want! ;o)

  8. Oh wow. Another reason to order more crap from Amazon.
    How evil of them! 🙂

  9. Diapers are always a welcome donation at area homeless shelters/respite care centers/daycares – so you could get free prime and do a good deed, all in one!

  10. Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!! I have a special needs boy and see no end in sight for the pull ups…well, at least until he outgrows the sizes they make…

I SWEAR I read that you could sign someone else up (that does NOT live with you) to receive the prime benefits – on that first page when I clicked through your link – but now I can’t get to that page since I signed up. And can’t find where it says that anywhere else. Or maybe I was seeing things, haven’t had enough caffeine yet.

  11. Super! Now I don’t have to find myself another email address next month to sign up for a free trial of prime to have it for the holidays! I signed up today and will get some baby gifts I have to get anyway (and I was going to LEAVE THE HOUSE for! Like an animal!). Thank you!

  12. Got the e-mail this morning – so excited to see that the 30% is sticking around for a while! And I needed a case of diapers and a case of wipes anyway!

Any parent who isn’t doing this is insane.

  13. i’m in. i still have one in diapers, tho i’ve never gotten dipes from amazon before. the prices are pretty darn good with that 30% off! thanks, mir!

  14. So Amazon Mom is the reason they had all of those 20% coupon codes in Parenting magazines…to create a distribution list to announce it.

  15. You find the most amazing deals, Mir. You are so very pretty.

  16. If you just sent your baby off the college like I did, check out Amazon Student for a whole year of Prime for free. (Requires an .edu email).

  17. You’ll post another reminder, won’t you?
