Which came first, the savings or the meal?

I can’t figure out how you frame this one. Did you first save enough money with another deal, here, that you could then pop on over to Restaurant.com and snap up a dining certificate on the cheap (use coupon code TOUCHDOWN for 80% off, making $25 worth of dining out just a cool $2 out-of-pocket right now) and have plenty left over for a sitter?

Or is it that when you can get that $25 certificate for just a couple of bucks, you then have enough money left over for a sitter and a fabulous outfit to wear for your dinner out?

This may be harder than the old chicken-and-the-egg debate. But with savings like these, I don’t think anyone is going to complain.

  1. Of course, the restaurant I wanted a $25 gift certificate for was priced at $17.50. After 80% off that came down to $3.50, but seriously… $17.50 when all the rest are $10?! Odd, isn’t it?
