Though Band of Brothers is pretty intense, I still recall with great pleasure the process of watching it when it originally aired. It was a wonderful series. I just found out my parents had never seen it–so I’m buying this right now to put away for the next gift-giving holiday. (My parents are in their early 70s, for anyone seeking a reference point.) And if they end up seeing it in the interim … well, my husband and I would enjoy watching it again.

Ahhh, memories of my dad singing, “May the bluebird of happiness fly up your nose!” to us when we were kids. (Oh, who am I kidding? He still does it sometimes. Not as often, though, since I live pretty far away now. This from a guy who rarely sings for no reason.)
