Are you eating well at Trader Joe’s?

Longtime readers know that I am an unabashed fangirl when it comes to Trader Joe’s; before we had a nearby one, I would load coolers into the car twice a year and make the pilgrimage to stock up on all our favorites.

If you share the TJ’s love, check out this piece from EatingWell about what to buy there and what to skip. I was pleased to see that my habits and favorites are fairly in line with their findings. (Spoiler: Cheese. And frozen fruit for smoothies.)

Of course, before I had to give up gluten, I was composed of approximately 67% Trader Joe’s Tiny Chocolate Chip Cookies, but let’s not talk about that.

  1. There’s a TJ’s about to open near us, and I’ve never shopped there before. Thanks for the article!

  2. love trader joes. i had to go to rehab for their peanut butter filled pretzels. nom.nom.nom.

  3. Interesting article. Thanks for sharing. We love TJ’s, too, but the closest stores are more than an hour away. I would love one closer, but I doubt it’s going to happen. We stock up when we can. It’s a treat to shop there ~

  4. great article, thanks for sharing, glad to know my tastes are right on par with others! Love their wine labelled Trader’s Coastal is bottled by Castoro Cellars, used to pay $10 on a special occaision for it til the trader’s worker tipped me off to get the TJ brand for $4, same wine, awesome!

  5. Yep, this is pretty in keeping with how I shop at TJ’s. Except it doesn’t mention wine! Current favorite is Red Truck Pinot Noir.

  6. there kosher meat is a rip off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Mmmmmm…TJ’s lemon pepper pappardelle….
