Y’all know that I take hair very seriously, and so I absolutely advocate getting a good-quality hair straightener rather than risking your hair to something that’s just going to fry it into oblivion. That said, not everyone can afford a Chi or a GHD, and some people who insist that they absolutely must have a flat iron or they will positively just die, Mom, are not old enough nor responsible enough to own an expensive appliance. In those cases, I recommend going decent quality without getting the very best.
All of that said, you might want to check out today’s Deal of the Day at Graveyard Mall, which happens to be a Conair Infiniti Nano Straightener for just $18. It’s true that you’ll then need to spend some money for shipping ($6 for me to Georgia), but consider that Amazon sells this puppy for over $40, even though it’s got overwhelmingly positive reviews and was named a Consumer Reports “best performer overall.”
Graveyard Mall does tend to be very hit or miss, but this one, I think, is a genuinely good deal.

Well, I thought this was going to be for an ipod Nano, but this is still a great deal. Especially since my straighter is a piece of junk! Yay for new hair tools. This will go great with my new haircut I’m getting tonight!

I got this on Graveyard about two weeks ago when they had it. It came in the mail yesterday. I used it for the first time last night and fell in love with it. I have very thick, wavy hair. My hair has been straight all day… and, super soft! I got compliments today. Such a great value. I am definitely getting rid of my old, cheapo straighteners.
