Blah blah blah iPad

I don’t know if you happened to hear a little something yesterday about the next generation of the iPad coming out…? It was barely news, I know. (Sweartogod, my husband talked about it as if Moses himself had descended from the mount with news of a workable iMovie app. Ahem.)

Anyway, if you don’t quite have New iPad Fever, but have Maybe Would Kind Of Like An iPad Fever, don’t forget that the announcement of a new generation of technology means that the old—now quite unhip, I’m sure—generation has just been dropped $100 in price over at the Apple Store. So if you’d like a brand-spanking-new 1st generation iPad it’s down to $400, and if you’re willing to go for a refurb, those can be had for just $350.

If you want to pre-order the latest and greatest, you can do that, too, but you’ll pay top dollar. If you’re flexible, it could save you some bucks.

  1. I’m a huge fan of buying the last generation when the newest one comes out. We bought our iPhones (16GB 3GS) last year right before the iPhone 4 came out, and saved a BUNDLE.

However, I’m still not ready to make the leap to iPad… I would change my mind if someone wanted to host a giveaway and I *won* one, though… *ahem* 🙂

    Have a happy Thursday, Mir!

  2. I’m not getting one, but the camera and the ability to FaceTime with grandparents, aunts and cousins make the new iPad worth the extra money.

  3. Evil Empire… just sayin’

  4. I’m holding out for the 3rd generation model, which may even take out my trash. 🙂

  5. I’m still hoping to win one somehow. There’s a free one out there with my name on it – I can feel it!

  6. I LOVE mine! It has changed how I function daily and I am so happy with it. Sure, pictures would be nice but I really can’t see how it could get much better, faster, etc.

  7. Guess I should have waited a month. Got a refurbished one for $400. It is a fun toy. But can’t really replace my lap top of course.
