I thought around the beginning of May would probably be the right time to start scoping out markdowns at Pottery Barn Kids, and I was right. Take a look at their Seasonal Clearance—they have their jumbo quilted Santa stocking available for just $10 with free shipping. That thing retails for $40 and every single year I hear about people buying it on clearance and being so amazed at how gigantic it is (seriously, you wouldn’t use it for a stocking, you’d use it to hide a big gift) and how nicely made it is.
And then every year I decide not to buy one. And every year I regret it.
Hey, who says I can’t have Christmas in May? This is the year we get the ridiculous huge stocking, I think.
Confession: Last weekend while the girls were at their dad’s, I took out allll of the xmas gifts I had already tucked away so I could make a list of what I had. My friends mocked me endlessly and I thought to myself, “Mir would so totally understand.” I may or may not be sending this post to them. 🙂
Ha! I was just wishing the other day for some Christmas clearance stuff because I keep getting ideas for decorating for the holidays. Funny timing!
I think I could stuff my entire kid in that thing!!
Am i the only one thinking stuff the smallest most perfect gift in the toe and fill it with individually wrapped socks…
Sabrina – love it!
I picked up a few, okay, ten, to use as decor (1 for my entry way) and for those families that you exchange a gift with, like hubby’s aunt/uncle, best friend getting married this fall, etc. I have a new sewing machine with an embroidery module, so I hope to be able to embroider them as gifts – The Smith’s, The Kamin’s, Ho Ho Ho, Bah Humbug :), etc. Thanks for sharing, Mir!
