Do you need more ways to keep your little ones happy and busy this summer? Don’t forget that you only have until tomorrow morning to enter to win three great Downtown Bookworks activity books from me, suitable for hours of entertainment for them and priceless peace and quiet for you.

As always, please leave your comment on the contest post for an entry, as comments left on this post shall be reserved for sympathetic clucking (I just got back from an “oral procedure” which involved three stitches in my tongue). Murmurings of “Poor, poor little bunny” will also be accepted. Particularly after the Novocain wears off.

  1. Oh, no! I hope it’s nothing, although I remember your mentioning the tongue circles on your blog. (Maybe they’re like crop circles, except they are really tongue circles and were…well, put there by aliens. But when you look at me that way, I realize how unlikely that sounds…)

Also, “poor little bunny” is the code for “It’s a man-cold, so suck it up and quit whining.” For this reason, I’ll have to go with this instead:

Poor little duck! Poor, poor ducky!

Now, I don’t know if the Novocaine has worn off or not, but if it hasn’t, simply come back and read that line as necessary after the meds do wear off. 😉

  2. Oh, speaking of poor little ducks, watch this if you need a smile: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEBLt6Kd9EY

Now…I don’t know if you should full-out laugh, since you have the stitches and all, and I don’t want to be responsible for any problems with those. Just smile, okay?

I kind of was torn between laughing my head off and saying “poor little ducks!” myself when I watched it the first time.

  3. I don’t need the activity books, so I’ll leave my comment here instead. I’m impressed that you can keep working while in such pain! Take care of yourself.

  4. Hope you pre-made plenty of home-made sorbet with your lovely icecream maker (you MUST have one after some o the deals you’ve posted)!
