An overshare about razors

Hey, guess what I did this morning! Guess! No, nevermind; you’ll never guess. Here’s what I did: I got into the shower and sliced my armpit open while shaving, because I was all out of fresh blades for my razor and yes, I’m the person they’re talking about when they explain how a dull blade is often more dangerous than a sharp one.

You’re welcome for (over)sharing, by the way.

I was out of razors because razors cost way too much and I hadn’t seen ’em on sale recently, by the way. But tonight? I found deals for me and the mister: Amazon has this 8-count pack of Gillette Venus blades for $15.99, less 15% with Subscribe & Save, plus if you live in a state where Amazon allows you to clip their coupons (we finally figured out some of you weren’t seeing the coupons because they’re not allowed in certain areas), there’s a $2 clippable coupon, making it around $11.50 shipped for the pack. For my husband, there’s the 10-count Gillette Mach3 blades for $19.40, less 15% with Subscribe & Save, and a clippable $3 coupon—they come to about $13.50 shipped.

And here’s another tip: don’t nick your armpit. It hurts. Ouch.

  1. I’m stocked on those but wanted to chime in on how awesome of a deal this is. Its very nearly half the “normal” price.

  2. Do you have a CVS? They are usually free there after extrabucks.

  3. Argh! Sometimes I can find the coupons and sometimes I can’t. I found the lip gloss one, but I can’t find this one for some reason (for the women’s razors — I can find the men’s).

  4. Whoo! Persistence has paid off. It finally showed up. Thanks, Mir!

  5. I just want to chime in on how outrageous the price of replacement blades is! I have very sensitive skin so I have to use the good ones. In other news, I’ve finally decided to try an electric razor again… anyone have recommendations? I’m considering the
