A very triumphant Friday

Hey, we made it to Friday! This is an auspicious day for my family, because today is my daughter’s last day of marching band camp. Band camp is incredibly grueling, and every day I received texts detailing how many people passed out on the field. But now that she’s made it through, she’s earned the right to start every other sentence with “This one time, at band camp…?” We’re so proud.

Perhaps you don’t have a kid in the marching band, in which case you probably need some deals for entertainment, instead. I can help.

Today and tomorrow, skip the store and shop Walgreens online; you can use coupon code FAMILY10 for $10 off your $50+ order (and all orders of $25+ ship for free). I’m going to knock out most of our school supply list with this one.

I think I’m finally giving up on the Amazon Friday Sale, but remember last Christmas when Babysitting Mama for the Wii was new and cool and expensive? Just $12.99 at Amazon, now, and I have to say I’m totally intrigued by the fact that you stuff the wiimote in the baby doll to play. Heh.

They’ve got all kinds of sales going on now at Macy’s, and you can use coupon code BRIGHT25 to take $25 off your $125+ order. Some brand restrictions apply, so you may have to play with it a little, but it does work on sales and clearance items.

Milk does a body good; go get your $1 off any white milk coupon for your next grocery run.

Shopping Lands’ End this weekend? Coupon code PARENTSA11 with PIN 8355 will give you free shipping on any order, plus an additional $10 off $50+. It looks like it might not count clearance items towards the $50, but does work with sale items.

Music to my ears: 6pm.com is offering free shipping on every order, today only. Shooooooes!

Happy shopping. Remind me to tell you about this one time, at band camp….

  1. Ooooh, I’ve been stalking a pair of mules – “But what if they don’t fit? I don’t want to pay shipping here and back!” Now they’re on their way for free! Thanks, Mir!

  2. You might want to add this one to the deals for today. The Fort Lauderdale Groupon is $25 for $75 worth of WINE! (And the groupon works toward tax and shipping, too.) Plan it right and you get lots of wine, free shipping and not tax!

  3. They are all out of milk coupons but they don’t tell you until you give them all your info. Sneaky.

  4. No more milk coupons. Oh well…

  5. ahahaha – i totally used to go to band camp in high school (NERD alert)! i was on the drill team so we were all in it together. i can still remember the sweat dripping off of me. the good old days.

  6. So far my son has made it through 4 yrs of high school band camp. At the end of the month he’s heading to his second yr of college band camp. The stories just keep getting better!!

  7. I heard that Target.com has sling style nursing tanks on sale for $10 today. Just a rumor.

  8. Yeah! I’m a little annoyed about the milk site taking your info before telling you there are no more coupons. That’s kind of crappy.

But one time at band camp…..love that your daughter has earned that right now. lol

  9. Hmm. I just went to the milk website, put in my info, and it said I’d receive a coupon in X number of weeks.

  10. Band mom here. Our band camp begins officially on Monday – 8 hours a day for the next three weeks. The high most of the next week? 107-108. These kids are going to be having problems! The directors promise they will take good care of them, and only have them out early in the morning or late at night. How did your daughter do with the heat/skin/sunscreen?

  11. I thought I’d missed out on the free shipping from Lands End, but it worked. My rising kindergartener asks every other second when he is getting his blue backpack and now I can tell him (he’s also getting a burgundy mock turtleneck for $4.97, but he won’t really care about that).
