I can never quite bring myself to buy Nerf guns for my kids, because I’m a peaceful hippie tree-hugging gun hater (now you know!), but my friends who have only boys just pat my hand and assure me that it doesn’t turn them into psychopathic murderers, and it gets them out of the house for a while. Right now Amazon has the Nerf N-Strike Recon CS-6 Dart Blaster for just under $11. It’s usually around $25, so this is a great deal if you enjoy letting your kids shoot at each other.

(Lest you think it’s all peaceful ’round here, I guess I should point out that I only allow my children to beat on each other via hand-to-hand combat, the way nature intended.)
